University4Students is published by HELPERG LLC as an independent information platform. These terms set out the basis on which the content is made available. By reading and using the site you accept them; if you do not, the appropriate response is not to use the site.
They are written to be readable rather than defensive. The substance is simple: U4S publishes general information carefully, it is not an institution and not a professional adviser, and decisions you take remain yours.
An independent information platform
U4S publishes guides and researched reference material about universities, student life, life after school and the transition into adulthood. It is editorial output: written to be read, checked and disagreed with. It is not a service, a product or a transaction.
The site is operated and funded by HELPERG LLC. It holds no commercial relationship with any university and accepts no payment for coverage or placement. Where that position ever changes, it will be disclosed on the editorial policy page before it affects anything published.
U4S is not a university
University4Students is not a university, college, admissions office, government body, scholarship provider or accredited education provider. It does not teach, enrol, examine, accredit or graduate anyone, and it confers no degree, credit or qualification.
It has no admissions function. It cannot submit, forward, assess, expedite or influence an application to any institution, and it has no visibility into any admissions process. The full statement is on the not-a-university page.
Nothing here is professional advice
Content on U4S is general information. It is not admissions advice, and it is not legal, immigration, medical, psychological, tax or financial advice. It does not create a professional relationship of any kind between you and the operator, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
Pages touching on health, money, safety, housing or immigration carry an explicit notice to that effect and point to the kind of service or authority that can actually help. Where a page describes how something usually works, that is a description of a general pattern, not a statement about your institution, your country or your situation.
- Health and wellbeing. Nothing on the site diagnoses, treats or assesses anything. Speak to a qualified professional, or your university’s student support or counselling service.
- Legal and immigration. Visa, residence, work and tenancy rules are set by governments and change. Confirm anything specific with the relevant official authority and with your university.
- Money. No figures, products, rates or schemes are recommended anywhere on the site. Check current terms with the provider or authority concerned.
- Admissions. Entry requirements, deadlines and processes belong to the institution. Only that institution can answer them authoritatively.
No guarantee of completeness or currency
U4S aims to be accurate and to say plainly when something is uncertain. It does not guarantee that any page is complete, current or applicable to your circumstances. Education systems, housing markets, costs and rules vary enormously between countries and change over time, and a page that was correct when reviewed can become outdated without being wrong at the time.
Every guide, topic and research page carries the date its wording was last checked, as do these trust pages. Treat that date as part of the content. Where a page describes something that changes frequently, verify it against the authoritative source before you rely on it.
The site is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator excludes liability for loss arising from reliance on the content, other than liability which cannot lawfully be excluded.
External links
U4S may link to external sites, typically to direct a reader to an official authority or a primary source. Those sites are not under the operator’s control. A link is a pointer, not an endorsement of the linked organisation, its content, its accuracy or its privacy practices, and the operator accepts no responsibility for what you find there.
Following an external link takes you outside the scope of these terms and of the U4S privacy policy.
Your responsibility
Decisions about where to study, where to live, how to spend money, what work to take and how to look after yourself are yours. U4S can describe how these situations usually take shape and what tends to be worth checking; it cannot know your circumstances and does not attempt to make the decision for you.
You are responsible for verifying anything you intend to act on, particularly anything involving money, contracts, immigration status, health or personal safety. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number rather than looking for a page about it.
Acceptable use
You may read, link to and quote from U4S with attribution. You may not present U4S content as your own, republish substantial parts of it without permission, or use it in a way that implies U4S endorses you, your organisation or your service.
Automated access that degrades the site for other readers is not acceptable use. Neither is using U4S content to train, seed or populate a service that presents institutional data as verified when it has not been through the standard described in sources and methodology.
Accounts for university representatives
U4S has built a system through which someone who works at a university can claim their institution’s listing and propose corrections. It is SWITCHED OFF in this release — its endpoints answer that it is unavailable, and nothing can be submitted through it today. These terms are written now so that they are in place before it runs, not afterwards. Until it runs, the route described on claim your university is the only one, and it works by you sending U4S an email yourself.
If you use it when it is available, these terms apply in addition to everything else on this page.
- Claim only what you may speak for. Submitting a claim is a statement that you work for the institution named and are permitted to correspond about its public information. Do not submit a claim on behalf of an institution you do not work for.
- Confirming an address is not approval. Clicking a confirmation link shows that a mailbox works. It grants nothing. Every claim is decided by a named person at U4S, and a matching email domain is evidence they weigh rather than a rule that approves you.
- A proposal is a proposal. An approved representative can propose changes. Nothing proposed appears on the public site automatically. Approved proposals are queued for a U4S editor to integrate against the official source, and U4S may decline any of them, including ones that are accurate, where they would make a page read as promotion.
- Cite the official page. Every proposal must cite the institution’s own published page as its source. U4S publishes what an institution publishes; it does not publish what a representative asserts in correspondence.
- No marketing copy. The system exists to correct facts — wrong links, outdated programme names, misstated requirements. It is not a channel for promotional wording, rankings, superlatives or claims U4S could not verify from the institution’s own page.
- Your link is yours. A sign-in link works once and expires quickly. Do not forward it. Anyone holding it can act as you until it expires.
- Access can be withdrawn. U4S may revoke a representative’s access at any time, including where a claim turns out to have been made by someone without authority, or where the system is used for something other than factual correction. Revocation takes effect immediately.
Content and intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the text, design, structure and code of University4Students are owned by HELPERG LLC or licensed to it. The U4S and University4Students names and marks belong to the operator.
Short quotations with a clear attribution and a link to the page quoted are welcome. For anything more substantial, ask first at info@helperg.com.
Changes and availability
The operator may change, correct, add to or withdraw content at any time, and may amend these terms. The current version is the one on this page, with the review date shown. Material changes will be reflected in the text rather than recorded only in a version note.
No guarantee is made that the site will be available uninterrupted or free of error. It is a published work, not a service with an availability commitment.
Governing law

Nothing in these terms removes any right you hold under the mandatory consumer law of your own country of residence where that law applies to you.

Common questions
- Can I quote or republish U4S content?
- Short quotations with clear attribution and a link to the page quoted are welcome. Republishing substantial parts, or presenting U4S content as your own, is not permitted without written permission. For anything beyond a quotation, write to info@helperg.com and describe what you want to use and where.
- A page told me something that turned out not to apply to me. What now?
- That is a real limitation of general information, and it is why every page carries a review date and says where the authoritative answer lives. If a page is actually wrong rather than simply general, report it to info@helperg.com with the page and the issue. Corrections are handled under the process described on the editorial policy page, and a substantive correction is noted on the page itself.
