Next verification step

Tuition was not published for this institution. Open the institution’s own fee pages and check whether the page distinguishes more than one rate, which student category each one applies to, and whether the academic year is stated beside the amount. Publish nothing unless the page itself states the amount, the currency, the academic year, the study level, the student category and the period it covers.

Student life context

Student life is mostly the by-product of a timetable, a commute and a set of people, and all three are decided at programme level rather than institution level. Students on different courses within the same institution can have weeks with almost nothing in common. So rather than asking what it is like to study here, ask the department how this particular programme runs: how contact hours are distributed, how much group work there is, how much is scheduled and how much is left to the student to organise.

The other half of the question belongs to student services. Ask what clubs, sport, volunteering, faith provision and mentoring exist, when they open to new students and what joining involves. Ask what support is available when something goes wrong, and how a student reaches it. Knowing that route in advance matters more than it sounds, because people who are struggling tend not to go looking for it at the time. Treating your own wellbeing as part of the planning is ordinary good sense rather than pessimism.

Finally, establish which language your teaching and your assessment are conducted in and which language the surrounding administration works in. Those are two questions, not one, and the answers do not have to match. Ask the department about the programme and the relevant office about everything else, and ask what help exists if either is not a language you are comfortable in.

Housing considerations

Start with a structural question rather than a search: does the university provide or allocate accommodation, does it point students to a partner provider, or is it left to the private market. Ask the accommodation office, because whether a place is applied for, allocated or hunted for changes the whole timeline and the amount of work that falls to you.

Then examine the commitment. How long is the contract, what happens on early departure or late arrival, what deposit or guarantee is required and under what conditions it comes back, what is bundled and what is billed on top, whether furniture is included, and which documents a provider expects before a contract is signed. It is worth asking whether any of those documents can only be obtained after arrival, since that is where plans usually snag. A patient, methodical search is more effective than a rushed one.

Doing this early is the point. Demand around the start of an academic term does not politely wait, and a student without a fixed address may find other arrangements held up behind it. Ask the accommodation office what its advice is for anyone still searching when term begins, and whether temporary options exist. Where the housing will be shared, agree the split of joint costs with flatmates before anyone signs anything.

International student considerations

Someone applying from abroad is really managing several separate strands, and this page deliberately resolves none of them. Permission to enter and remain for study is a matter for the official authority that issues it and for the university's international office; nothing written here should be treated as describing what is required, and the same scepticism should be applied to anything found second-hand.

Recognition of prior qualifications is a strand of its own: the certificates and transcripts you already hold may need presenting in a specific form, and translation or certification takes time nobody budgets for. Local registration after arrival is another, usually with an order to the steps and often with an address as the first dependency. Money, banking and health cover form a third. In each case the question to ask the international office is not what the rule is, but who decides it and where that decision is published.

Language sits alongside all of it, for study and for daily administration alike, and is worth establishing for each separately. Some disorientation on arrival is normal and not a sign that a decision was wrong. Reading general country overviews is useful mainly for building the list of questions; the answers themselves are institutional and official, and only the offices concerned can give them.

Admissions

You will find no requirements here: no grades, no tests, no deadlines, no selection criteria. Those depend on the programme, the level, the qualification you hold and the country that awarded it, and they are revised between intakes. A summary kept on a page like this one would be a snapshot pretending to be a rule, so it is not offered at all.

The reliable route is narrow and dull: locate the programme on the university's own site, open the admissions information attached to that programme, and use the contact details printed there. Establish which application route applies to you, whether applications are made directly or through another channel, what supporting material is expected, and the order in which things must happen. Ask when a page is ambiguous instead of interpreting it, and keep a record of who told you what. Different offices hold different pieces, so expect to be redirected once or twice; that is normal rather than a bad sign. Looking across other institutions is easy, but only your own case decides anything.

Tuition and fees

There is no fee figure on this page, by design. Charges are set and revised by institutions and authorities on schedules of their own, and they differ by programme and by level, so a number reproduced here would be a hostage to time while still looking authoritative. It is more useful to say how to read the official page once you reach it.

One thing to check rather than assume, phrased as a possibility because it may or may not apply in your case: more than one rate may be published for the same programme, and which one applies can depend on the category the institution places a student in. If that is so, the useful question to the institution is which category applies to you, who determines it, and on what evidence. Ask too what the published amount covers and whether anything else is charged separately. The questions worth asking before any payment are much the same wherever you study.

Keep living costs in a separate line of your budget from anything the university charges, since they are decided by different people and move for different reasons. For the charge itself, use Delft University of Technology's own fee pages for the relevant year, and put anything unclear to the office named on them rather than to a third party.

Entry requirements change between intakes and differ by programme, by the qualification you hold and by where you are applying from. U4S records where the official requirements are published and when that page was last retrieved — nothing more. Students should verify current requirements on the official admissions page before relying on anything.

Next verification step

Open the official admissions page and record, only where it states them explicitly: the intake it applies to, the deadlines with their years, and the applicant categories it covers. U4S records no grade, test score or acceptance rate at any point.

Housing

U4S has not located an official accommodation page for Delft University of Technology. That is a gap in U4S — it is not a statement that the institution has no housing, and it should not be read as one.

This is about housing the institution itself runs. It says nothing about private rentals near the campus, which are a different market with different contracts, different prices and different consequences if something goes wrong.

Funding schemes

Named schemes U4S has read from this institution’s own scholarship pages. U4S does not award any of them and cannot tell you whether a round is open.

Programmes

Read from this institution’s own catalogue. Each title is reproduced exactly as the institution wrote it, and each programme page records the source it came from. This is not necessarily every programme the institution runs: it is what the catalogue U4S retrieved actually listed.
