Eindhoven University of Technology
An orientation page for prospective students and for parents. It sets out the questions worth answering before an application, and identifies who holds each answer, without speaking for the institution.

Next verification step
Tuition was not published for this institution. Open the institution’s own fee pages and check whether the page distinguishes more than one rate, which student category each one applies to, and whether the academic year is stated beside the amount. Publish nothing unless the page itself states the amount, the currency, the academic year, the study level, the student category and the period it covers.
Student life context
The question underneath most enquiries about student life is whether a person would feel at home somewhere, and no page can answer that on someone else's behalf. What can be described is what usually decides it: the shape of the teaching week, how much of the work is done in groups, how much of the year is fixed by a timetable and how much is left to the student to organise, and whether the same faces recur often enough for acquaintance to turn into something more. Those conditions are set at programme level, so the question belongs to the programme rather than to the institution as a whole.
Beyond the timetable, establish what exists and who runs it. Some activity is organised by the institution, some by student associations operating on their own terms, and some by organisations in the surrounding city that are open to students without being connected to the university. Ask the student services office which is which, how a newcomer joins, and what the student representative body actually does, since those answers determine how a week fills up in practice. Adjusting to an unfamiliar way of teaching and assessment can take as much effort as adjusting socially, and adapting to a different academic culture is worth preparing for on its own terms.
Housing considerations
Accommodation is worth treating as a project of its own, begun early and kept separate from the application. What to establish at the outset: whether the institution runs housing itself or mainly signposts a private market, who is eligible to apply and from when, how places are allocated and in what order, what a room includes once it is yours, and what the position is for anyone who is not placed. The accommodation or housing office is the authority on every part of that, and its answer replaces anything inferred from photographs or from what somebody experienced somewhere else.
Where the answer is a private market, the difficulty is that markets behave differently in every city, which makes any general description of one misleading somewhere. What travels is the method: confirm what an agreement commits you to, what is included and what is billed separately, how a deposit is held and what returns it, and who you are actually dealing with before any money moves. Arranging from another country strips out the checks that renting in person supplies for nothing, so finding a room from abroad is worth reading as a sequence rather than as a list of tips.
International student considerations
An applicant arriving from another country is not doing one task but several, and they belong to different bodies. Academic recognition of a qualification earned elsewhere is assessed by the institution. The language a programme is taught in, and the language in which its admissions, housing and student administration are conducted, are facts about that programme and those offices rather than about anywhere in general, and both are worth confirming in writing rather than assuming from something read in passing.
Permission to enter, remain and study is decided by the relevant official authority of the destination country. No university office, no agency and no website speaks for that authority, and a statement about somebody else's case is not a statement about yours. Health cover, registration after arrival, opening an account and the institution's own paperwork are separate categories again, each with its own holder and its own timing, and the order in which they have to be dealt with is not always obvious from outside.
The international student office exists to sort exactly this out. It can usually say which categories apply to a given applicant, which body owns each one, and roughly what sequence people tend to work through. Write to them with your own situation set out rather than a general one, and file each answer with the date it came back. The general shape of preparing for a move abroad is useful as a list of categories to work through, not as a source of answers about this institution.
Admissions
Nothing on this page states what an application involves, because what it involves is different for almost every reader. It varies with the level of study, the programme, the system in which a qualification was awarded, and the route the institution recognises for that combination. The published answer lives on the institution's own admissions pages, which are maintained by the people who make the decisions and revised whenever the decisions change.
Use them by narrowing first. Identify the exact programme and level, then read only what is published for applicants in your position, then list what the pages do not settle and take that list to the admissions office. Ask in writing, describe your situation plainly, and keep the answer with the date on it. Where a third party contradicts the official pages, the official pages are the ones to believe, and the office can confirm the point in a sentence if it is asked directly.
Tuition and fees
This page shows no tuition figure. U4S publishes a fee only where the amount has been read on the institution's own fee pages and recorded with the student category, the level of study and the period it was published for; that review has not been completed here, so silence is the accurate position and an estimate would not be. An unverified number on a page looks exactly like a verified one, and the person who would be misled is the one budgeting around it.
It is also worth knowing what you may find when you look. More than one rate may be published for the same programme, and where that happens, which rate applies is decided by the category the institution places a student in rather than by the programme itself. That assessment belongs to the institution, so the practical step is to read the fee pages for the category you would fall into and then ask the admissions or student finance office to confirm in writing which rate has been applied to you. Fees and the cost of living are separate questions and are worth budgeting separately. The amounts themselves should come from the institution's own fee pages for the relevant academic year and from nowhere else.
Admissions
The institution’s own general admissions page. A particular programme may set requirements of its own, which this does not cover.

- Language requirements
- Not located. U4S records no language-test threshold for any programme, anywhere.
- Required documents
- Not located.
- Intake and deadlines
- Not reviewed. U4S publishes no deadline without the intake it belongs to, and has not read this page’s dates.
Entry requirements change between intakes and differ by programme, by the qualification you hold and by where you are applying from. U4S records where the official requirements are published and when that page was last retrieved — nothing more. Students should verify current requirements on the official admissions page before relying on anything.
Next verification step
Open the official admissions page and record, only where it states them explicitly: the intake it applies to, the deadlines with their years, and the applicant categories it covers. U4S records no grade, test score or acceptance rate at any point.

Housing
Source locatedThis is about housing the institution itself runs. It says nothing about private rentals near the campus, which are a different market with different contracts, different prices and different consequences if something goes wrong.

- Housing application
- Not located. Apply through the accommodation page above.
- Does the institution manage housing itself?
- Not reviewed. Locating an accommodation page does not establish this — some such pages exist mainly to explain that the institution does not.
- Is housing guaranteed?
- Not reviewed. U4S states no guarantee unless the institution has stated one in writing, because a student would plan a move around it.
- Residence types
- Not reviewed.
- Application period
- Not reviewed. U4S publishes no housing deadline without the year it belongs to.
- Cost
- Not reviewed. U4S publishes no rent figure without a currency, a period, a cycle and what it covers.
- Deposit
- Not reviewed. A deposit is not rent, and U4S records one only where the institution states it separately.
- Private renting
- U4S has not recorded whether this page covers private renting. Private accommodation is not university-managed housing, and U4S lists no private landlords or agencies.
Where a line reads “not reviewed”, U4S has not retrieved an official page stating it. That is a gap in U4S — it is never a statement that an institution has no housing, offers no guarantee, or has nothing available.
Next verification step
Open the official accommodation page and record, only where it states them explicitly: whether the institution manages housing itself, whether it offers any guarantee and in what words, the residence types it names, the application period with its year, and any cost with its currency, period and what it covers.

Programmes
U4S has not read a programme catalogue for this institution. That is a gap in U4S, not a statement about what the institution offers — check its own website for the programmes it runs.
