Lodz University of Technology
Orientation rather than promotion. This page describes what remains unknown to a prospective student or a parent at this point, and which office turns each unknown into a settled answer.

Next verification step
Tuition was not published for this institution. Open the institution’s own fee pages and check whether programmes taught in different languages are priced separately, and which student category each rate applies to. Publish nothing unless the page itself states the amount, the currency, the academic year, the study level, the student category and the period it covers.
Student life context
What a week actually looks like is the thing most worth knowing and the thing least visible from outside. Whether teaching is concentrated or spread thin, whether assessment arrives steadily or in bursts, whether the same faces are in the room each time, and how much travelling sits between commitments: those produce the routine, and the routine is what student life is made of. They are set at programme level, so a description covering a whole institution would be wrong somewhere inside it.
That makes the useful enquiry a narrow one. Ask the student services office what exists in the way of societies, sport, representation and support, and whether those run centrally or are organised within each faculty. Ask somebody already on the programme how the week actually goes. Both answers are worth having and they are often different, which is information in itself rather than a contradiction to be resolved.
Academic habits are worth raising in the same conversation: how much independent work is assumed, how contact with teaching staff usually happens, and how feedback is given. Those expectations are rarely written down anywhere and tend to be noticed only when they have been missed. Adapting to unfamiliar academic expectations deals with the general version of that adjustment, and the specifics belong to the programme.
Housing considerations
Housing runs on a calendar of its own, and it is the part of a move where being late costs the most. Establish whether the institution operates accommodation, when its process opens, how places are decided, what a place includes, and what an applicant does if none is offered. Those are questions for the accommodation office, and its answers are the ones that count.
If the answer points towards the private market, the questions change. What a landlord expects at signing, how a deposit is held and returned, what is included in a rent and what is billed separately, whether anything can be arranged before arrival or whether it has to wait until you are in the city, and who to ask when a document is in a language you are still learning. The accommodation office can usually describe how students here tend to manage, even where it has no formal role in the matter.
Timing is the reason to start on this before the rest of the paperwork feels finished. Supply near any institution is limited and is taken in the order people ask, so waiting narrows the options rather than preserving them. Finding housing from another country sets out the mechanics of arranging a place you cannot walk into, including the checks that going in person would otherwise handle for you.
International student considerations
For an applicant arriving from elsewhere the sensible move is to sort the work into categories and find the holder of each. Assessment of a qualification awarded in another system belongs to admissions, sometimes with a national body involved as well. Language of instruction and the evidence expected belongs to admissions too. Permission to enter and remain belongs to the official authority responsible for it, and to nobody at a university. Health cover, registration after arrival and the institution's own documentation are separate again.
The international office can say which of those categories apply to a given applicant and the order they are usually handled in, which is worth asking early because the order matters more than people expect. Where an official authority decides something, treat its own published position as the binding one and everything else, this page included, as description. Handling a language you are still learning covers the daily administration side of that, which tends to be underestimated.
Admissions
There are no requirements, dates or criteria on this page. They exist, but they belong to a specific programme, a specific level and a specific applicant category, and they are revised by the institution whenever it sees reason to. Reproducing them anywhere else creates a copy that ages silently, and the reader who finds the copy has no way of knowing how old it is.
Work in the other direction instead. Establish which route describes you, read the official material written for that route, and put whatever remains unclear to the admissions office in writing. Ask about process as well as criteria: how to submit, what documents are wanted, in what form, and how decisions are communicated. The editorial policy explains why this site publishes orientation rather than requirements.
Tuition and fees
No fee figure appears here, and none will until an amount has been read from the institution's own published pages, recorded with the category, level and period it was published under, and dated to the day it was read. Until that has been done the honest position is an empty field rather than an estimate, and nothing here should be read as a hint about the scale involved.
There is also a structural point worth carrying into the fee pages themselves. Programmes taught in different languages may be priced separately, which means what is shown for one version of a programme may not apply to another. Which rate applies may in turn depend on the category the institution places a student in, so establishing the category comes before reading anything. Both are matters to confirm with the institution, on its own fee pages for the relevant academic year, with anything ambiguous put in writing. Reading an official fee page describes what to look for once you are there.
Admissions
U4S has not located an official admissions source here. That is a gap in U4S, not a statement that there are no requirements — every institution has them, and they are on its own site.
Housing
Source locatedThis is about housing the institution itself runs. It says nothing about private rentals near the campus, which are a different market with different contracts, different prices and different consequences if something goes wrong.

- Housing application
- Not located. Apply through the accommodation page above.
- Does the institution manage housing itself?
- Not reviewed. Locating an accommodation page does not establish this — some such pages exist mainly to explain that the institution does not.
- Is housing guaranteed?
- Not reviewed. U4S states no guarantee unless the institution has stated one in writing, because a student would plan a move around it.
- Residence types
- Single room, Dormitory
- Application period
- Not reviewed. U4S publishes no housing deadline without the year it belongs to.
- Cost
- Not reviewed. U4S publishes no rent figure without a currency, a period, a cycle and what it covers.
- Deposit
- Not reviewed. A deposit is not rent, and U4S records one only where the institution states it separately.
- Private renting
- U4S has not recorded whether this page covers private renting. Private accommodation is not university-managed housing, and U4S lists no private landlords or agencies.
Where a line reads “not reviewed”, U4S has not retrieved an official page stating it. That is a gap in U4S — it is never a statement that an institution has no housing, offers no guarantee, or has nothing available.
Next verification step
Confirm on the official accommodation page that what is recorded here still reads the same way, and record the application period with its year when the institution publishes it.

Official student support
Offices U4S has located on this institution’s own site. That an institution has a service means its website says so. It does not mean the service has capacity, answers quickly, can help with a particular problem, or that anybody found it useful. U4S measures none of those and publishes no rating of any service.
- International student organizationsThe office that deals with applicants and students from abroad. · page retrieved and confirmed · contact form
U4S links to an institution’s own page or contact form and publishes no email address. A list of institutional addresses is a list for anybody who wants one, and a contact form routes a student’s question better than a shared inbox.
If somebody is in immediate danger, use the local emergency number rather than any service listed here. U4S has not verified a single institution’s emergency contact, and a partly-verified one is worse than none.
Programmes
U4S has not read a programme catalogue for this institution. That is a gap in U4S, not a statement about what the institution offers — check its own website for the programmes it runs.
