Next verification step

Tuition was not published for this institution. Open the institution’s own fee pages and check whether rates are published per faculty, and whether a budget-funded and a self-funded place are charged differently. Publish nothing unless the page itself states the amount, the currency, the academic year or intake, the study level, the student category and the period it covers, and unless each amount can be tied to the row it belongs to.

Student life context

The things that most shape a student's experience are structural and unglamorous: how the teaching week is arranged, how much travel sits between where you live and where you study, how assessment falls across the year, and how much administrative work you do yourself. They differ by programme as often as by institution, so establish them for the course you actually intend to take. Ask how contact hours are spread, what is expected in person, and how the academic year is divided.

Where a university is organised into faculties with their own sites, the location of your own teaching becomes a practical question with consequences for where you live and how your days run. Establish it before making any housing decision. Establish also what language your programme is taught and assessed in and what language everyday student administration operates in, treating both simply as arrangements to know about, so you can plan what you will handle unaided and where you will want support.

Everything outside the timetable is something you assemble. Find out what student organisations, sports provision, cultural activity and volunteering exist, how a newcomer joins, and where academic and wellbeing support sits when something is not going well. Student services and the student organisations themselves are the people who know. This takes conscious effort anywhere, and more so in an unfamiliar city, which is why we wrote a guide to building a circle and keep more on student life, community and wellbeing.

Housing considerations

Sorting out where you will live rewards starting early more than almost anything else in the process, because supply is limited and claimed in order of asking. Begin before you have certainty. Establish what forms of accommodation exist for students here: whether the university or an associated body operates or allocates any, how you apply, whether it is a separate application from the academic one, and when the window opens and closes. The accommodation or student services office is where that information lives.

Then get clear on commitments. If accommodation is allocated, ask how allocation works, what a place includes and what it does not, and what happens during periods when teaching is not running. If you would rent privately, ask what a contract binds you to and for how long, whether a deposit or guarantor is expected, what the rent covers and what is billed on top, and how utilities are arranged. Ask what the ordinary local process looks like, and be careful about committing to anything arranged entirely at a distance. Our housing guide sets out an order that avoids the usual mistakes.

It is also worth deciding what you actually need rather than only what is available. Travel time to teaching, furnishing, cooking and laundry arrangements, whether you would be sharing and with whom, and somewhere to work when the library is closed all matter far more in daily life than they appear to on a listing. Where several people share costs, agreeing the rules in advance saves a lot of friction — see money with flatmates — and communal living generally is covered on dorm life and student housing.

International student considerations

Applying from another country adds a set of things to establish that a local applicant never encounters, and grouping them makes the work manageable. Academic standing comes first: how the qualifications you hold are assessed here, whether a recognition or evaluation step applies, who performs it and how long it takes. Language comes second: what language your programme is taught and assessed in, whether any language evidence forms part of an application, and what language everyday administration runs in. Both questions belong to the international student office and the relevant academic office, and both depend on the specific programme.

Third is entry and permission to remain, which is determined by the relevant official authority rather than by the university, and which depends on your individual circumstances. Establish what that authority requires of someone in your position, when its process may be started, how long it usually takes, and what documents the university would need to issue in support. Ask the international student office which steps it handles and which are yours. Fourth is arrival: registration, healthcare arrangements, a bank account, a local phone number, and the order in which these have to be done, because some depend on others being complete.

Do not assume a category applied to you in another country or at another institution carries across. Establish which category this university places you in for admission and for fees, and take that from the university itself rather than working it out. Documents that need translating or certifying take time of their own, so identify that requirement at the outset instead of at the end. For the rest of the move, preparing to go, the first weeks and managing in another language cover the ground people underestimate, and more sits under studying abroad.

Admissions

You will find no entry requirements, deadlines, tests or selection figures on this page. What applies to any individual depends on the faculty, the programme, the level of study, the year of entry and that person's own background, and it can change from cycle to cycle. Copying such things here would make a page that looks reliable while quietly ceasing to be true. The official website linked on this page is the source to use.

The method that works is to start with the exact thing you want and move outwards. Identify the faculty and programme, since admission at a university organised this way is often handled at faculty level, and open that programme's own page. Read what it says about applying, note which office is named as responsible, and then write to that office to confirm you have understood it for your own situation. Ask what is expected from someone applying with your background rather than assuming the general statement covers your case.

Ask about the shape of the process too: how an application is submitted, what happens after it, how and when a decision reaches you, whether anything has to be confirmed or paid in order to hold a place, and who to contact if something is delayed or missing. Keep a dated written note of every answer. If you are comparing institutions, the university index and our guides may help you keep track, and adapting to a new academic culture repays reading before your first term. How we compile and check these pages is set out in our sources and methodology.

Tuition and fees

This page carries no fee figure. Published amounts get revised, they differ between faculties and programmes, and they depend on which category a particular student falls into. A number reproduced here would go out of date without anything on the page signalling it, and a reader could plan around something that was no longer true. Pointing at the source is the only honest option available to us.

Certain structural things may apply and are worth checking rather than assuming. Rates may be published per faculty rather than as one university-wide figure, so the page you need may belong to the faculty rather than to the central site. A budget-funded place and a self-funded place may be charged differently, meaning the amount that applies to you depends on which kind of place you would be holding, establish that with the university rather than inferring it from anything you have read elsewhere. Ask too what a stated amount covers, what falls outside it, and how payment is scheduled.

Whatever the fee turns out to be, it is only one line in the budget, and the monthly cost of living is the line that runs regardless of the teaching calendar. We keep the two apart in fees against living costs, with background in how tuition fees work, checking a figure at source and money generally. Students sometimes look at student work as part of the answer, in which case establish separately what is permitted in your own situation. For the amount that applies to you, use the relevant faculty's and the university's own fee pages for your year of entry and confirm with the office named there.

Admissions

U4S has not located an official admissions source here. That is a gap in U4S, not a statement that there are no requirements — every institution has them, and they are on its own site.

Housing

U4S has not located an official accommodation page for University of Kragujevac. That is a gap in U4S — it is not a statement that the institution has no housing, and it should not be read as one.

This is about housing the institution itself runs. It says nothing about private rentals near the campus, which are a different market with different contracts, different prices and different consequences if something goes wrong.

Programmes

U4S has not read a programme catalogue for this institution. That is a gap in U4S, not a statement about what the institution offers — check its own website for the programmes it runs.
