University of Warsaw
This page is an orientation aid rather than an account of the institution. It sets out what a prospective student or a parent would need to establish before applying, and which office holds each answer.

What U4S has verified
OrientationThe official website was retrieved and the page confirmed the institution. Everything else on this page is orientation unless marked otherwise below.
- Tuition and fees
- No figure is published on this page.
- Admissions
- U4S publishes no entry requirement, deadline or grade for any institution.
- Scholarships and support
- U4S names no funding scheme and states no eligibility.
Next verification step
Fees are published as a dated PDF schedule per academic year, listing amounts per programme rather than one institution-wide figure. Decide whether per-programme rows are worth recording individually before extracting any.
Student life context
Student life at an institution of any scale is shaped less by what a prospectus describes than by the ordinary structure of the week: how teaching is timetabled, how far apart the places you have to be are, and whether the people on your programme stay together across the year or disperse after each class. Those are the conditions under which routines and friendships form, and they vary between programmes inside the same institution as much as they vary between institutions. Very little of it can be read off a website, and none of it is claimed here. The student life section describes the general pattern.
What is worth establishing directly is more mundane. Which student organisations exist, and how a newcomer joins them. What the students' representative body actually does. Where academic support, wellbeing support and disability support sit, and whether they are reached centrally or through a department. Student services is the office to put those to, and asking before arrival tends to be easier than asking during the settling-in period, when everything else is competing for attention at once.
Housing considerations
Accommodation often decides how the early period feels, and it is also the part of a move with the least flexibility once teaching has begun. What to establish at the outset is whether the university operates accommodation of its own, who is eligible to apply for it, how places are allocated and in what order, and what happens to applicants who are not placed. The housing or accommodation office holds all of that, and its answers supersede anything found elsewhere.
Everything beyond that is a private rental market, and private markets behave differently in every city, which makes any general description of them misleading somewhere. Arranging early matters because the alternatives narrow as term approaches, and because renting at a distance removes the checks that ordinary renting supplies for free. Renting from another country covers those mechanics. What applies at this institution is a question for its own housing service.
International student considerations
For an applicant coming from another country, the work divides into categories rather than into a single task list. There is entry and residence, which belongs to the official immigration authority of the destination country and to no university office. There is recognition of a prior qualification, which sits with admissions and sometimes with a national recognition body. There is the language a programme is taught in. There is health cover, local registration after arrival, and the documentation the institution itself asks for. Each is a separate process with a separate holder.
The international office is the contact point that can say which of those categories apply to a given applicant, and roughly in what sequence they are usually dealt with. Nothing on this page should be treated as an answer to any of them, and anything read on a forum or on a commercial intermediary's site is worth checking against the institution and the relevant authority before it is acted on. Preparing for a move abroad sets out the general shape of the sequence.
Admissions
What applies to an applicant depends on where their qualification was awarded, which programme they are applying to, and which route the institution recognises for that combination. Because those interact, there is no general answer, and a general answer offered somewhere else is worth distrusting on principle. The institution's own admissions pages are the authority for the published part, and its admissions office answers the cases the published pages do not reach.
A practical way to use them is to narrow before reading: work out which category you fall into, read only the material written for that category, then take what remains to the office. U4S publishes no requirement, no date and no criterion for any institution, because details of that kind change quietly and a stale copy is read as current long after it has stopped being true. How the site handles institutional information is set out in the universities section.
Tuition and fees
No fee figure appears on this page. U4S has not reviewed tuition for this institution, and publishes nothing on the subject until a figure has been read directly from the institution's own fee pages, recorded with the exact category, level and period it was published under, and dated to the day it was read. Until that work has been done, the honest position is silence rather than an estimate.
The absence is deliberate rather than an oversight waiting to be corrected. A figure carried over from a summary site, from an earlier academic cycle, or from a different student category is the kind of error on a site like this that can cost a reader money before anybody notices it. Nothing is implied here about whether fees are charged, or at what level. That question is answered by the institution's own fee pages and by its admissions or student finance office. Checking an official fee page describes what to look for once you are there.
Admissions
The institution’s own general admissions page. A particular programme may set requirements of its own, which this does not cover.
- Official admissions page
- en.uw.edu.pl/admissions-results-2026-2027/
- Application portal
- Not located. Apply through the admissions page above.
- Language requirements
- Not located. U4S records no language-test threshold for any programme, anywhere.
- Required documents
- Not located.
- Intake and deadlines
- Not reviewed. U4S publishes no deadline without the intake it belongs to, and has not read this page’s dates.
Entry requirements change between intakes and differ by programme, by the qualification you hold and by where you are applying from. U4S records where the official requirements are published and when that page was last retrieved — nothing more. Students should verify current requirements on the official admissions page before relying on anything.
Next verification step
Open the official admissions page and record, only where it states them explicitly: the intake it applies to, the deadlines with their years, and the applicant categories it covers. U4S records no grade, test score or acceptance rate at any point.

What the institution asks for
Read from the institution’s own admissions pages, in the institution’s own words and units. U4S does not decide whether anyone meets any of it.
U4S never converts between grading systems or between language tests. A GPA is not a percentage, a UK classification is not a German Note, and an IELTS band is not a TOEFL score — institutions decide what they accept, and only the institution’s own published threshold governs an application. Everything below is recorded in the units the institution itself used.
Application fee
A fee charged to apply. Separate from tuition, and never counted as tuition.
- Institution-wideNamed without a value
Among this year’s applicants, three record-breakers registered and paid the application fee for as many as 16 degree programmes.
Official page · retrieved 2026-09-13
Requirements marked as institution-wide were read from a page that covers more than this programme. They are what the institution publishes for applicants generally, and the programme’s own requirements may differ.
Everything above is a partial reading of one page. The official admissions page is the only complete statement of what this institution asks for: https://en.uw.edu.pl/admissions-results-2026-2027/
Housing
U4S has not located an official accommodation page for University of Warsaw. That is a gap in U4S — it is not a statement that the institution has no housing, and it should not be read as one.
This is about housing the institution itself runs. It says nothing about private rentals near the campus, which are a different market with different contracts, different prices and different consequences if something goes wrong.
Programmes
U4S has not read a programme catalogue for this institution. That is a gap in U4S, not a statement about what the institution offers — check its own website for the programmes it runs.
