Wrocław University of Science and Technology

An orientation page rather than a portrait. It sets out the questions a prospective student or a parent still has to put to this institution, and names the office or authority that holds each answer.

Next verification step

Tuition was not published for this institution. Open the institution’s own fee pages and check whether programmes taught in different languages are priced separately, and which student category each rate applies to. Publish nothing unless the page itself states the amount, the currency, the academic year, the study level, the student category and the period it covers.

Student life context

What people mean by student life is largely a by-product of a timetable. How many contact hours a programme carries, how much independent work sits in the gaps between classes, how far apart the places you are expected in are, and whether the same group moves through the year together: those conditions decide how much time and company is left over for anything else. All of it varies between programmes inside the same institution, which is why no page written from the outside can describe it honestly.

So the useful questions are narrow and answerable. Ask student services what exists in the way of societies, sport and volunteering, and what joining one involves for somebody who arrives knowing nobody. Ask what the students' representative body runs and what it leaves alone. Ask who a student talks to about a module going wrong, about health, and about an access need, and whether those are the same door or separate ones. The student life section describes the general pattern institutions vary around, which is useful mainly as a list of things to ask about.

Housing considerations

Accommodation deserves an early decision because it constrains everything after it: where you live sets your travelling, much of your spending, and how easy it is to be around other people. Establish first whether the institution runs accommodation of its own, who is eligible to apply, how places are allocated and in what order, and whether an offer of a study place has to be in hand before a room can be requested at all. The accommodation office holds all of that, and what it says outranks anything found second-hand.

If the answer sends you towards the private rental market, the questions become the ordinary ones of renting somewhere you do not know yet: what a landlord or agent expects at signing, how a deposit is held and how it comes back, what is charged on top of the rent, what an agreement commits you to and for how long, and how much of it can be settled before you arrive. Arranging a place from another country goes through that sequence in order.

Timing does most of the work here. Where demand is steady, places tend to go to whoever asked earliest, and a late start narrows the field to whatever is left rather than whatever suits. Ask the accommodation office when its own process opens and work backwards from that, rather than from the point at which you would prefer to start thinking about it.

International student considerations

An applicant arriving from another country is running several separate processes that only look like a single one because they share a calendar. Permission to enter and to stay is not a university matter: it is decided by the official authority that handles it, and only that authority's answer has any force. Whether a qualification you already hold is accepted, and on what basis, is an admissions question, and a separate national body may have a part in it. Which language the teaching runs in, and which language the paperwork around it runs in, are for the institution to confirm. Cover for medical care, the registration that follows arrival, and opening an account tend to be handled elsewhere again.

The international office is the place to establish which of those apply to you and in roughly what order they are usually handled; where a question is not the university's to decide, the relevant official authority is the only source whose answer has effect. Write your own situation down before you ask anything, put the same question to the office and to the authority wherever both have a stake, and keep what each of them says. Preparing for a move abroad sets out the shape of the sequence without pretending to know your case.

Admissions

No entry criteria appear here. They are set by the institution, they differ by programme, by level and by applicant category, and they are revised on its schedule rather than anyone else's, so a copy held anywhere else goes quietly out of date while still reading as current to whoever finds it.

The way to find what applies to you is to narrow before you read. Establish the exact programme and level, work out which applicant category the institution places you in, find that route on its own admissions pages, and treat what is written there as the position. Whatever the pages leave unclear belongs in an email to the admissions office, and the reply belongs somewhere you can find it again. It is also worth asking about the process itself: how an application is submitted, what is expected in support of it, how a decision is communicated, and what happens when circumstances do not fit the standard categories.

What this site publishes about any institution, and what it declines to publish, is described on the editorial policy page. The short version is that requirements, dates and criteria are left where they belong, because a stale copy of them does more damage to a reader than an empty section ever does.

Tuition and fees

There is no amount on this page. What would justify putting one here is narrow: the figure would have to come off the institution's own fee pages, carry the category, level and period it was published against, and be stamped with the day somebody actually read it. Short of all of that, an empty section tells a reader more than a filled one does.

There is a further reason for caution. It may be that a programme taught in one language is priced on a different basis from one taught in another, and that which of those rates reaches you turns on the category the institution places you in. Neither is safe to assume in either direction, and both are questions to put to the institution before any figure is treated as yours. This page takes no position on whether anything is charged, or on how much.

What applies to you sits on the institution's own fee pages, read for your programme, your level and the academic year in question, with anything ambiguous taken to the office that publishes them. Reading an official fee page describes what to look for once you are there, including the caveats that usually sit below the headline figures.

Language requirements
Not located. U4S records no language-test threshold for any programme, anywhere.
Intake and deadlines
Not reviewed. U4S publishes no deadline without the intake it belongs to, and has not read this page’s dates.

Entry requirements change between intakes and differ by programme, by the qualification you hold and by where you are applying from. U4S records where the official requirements are published and when that page was last retrieved — nothing more. Students should verify current requirements on the official admissions page before relying on anything.

Next verification step

Open the official admissions page and record, only where it states them explicitly: the intake it applies to, the deadlines with their years, and the applicant categories it covers. U4S records no grade, test score or acceptance rate at any point.

What the institution asks for

Read from the institution’s own admissions pages, in the institution’s own words and units. U4S does not decide whether anyone meets any of it.

U4S never converts between grading systems or between language tests. A GPA is not a percentage, a UK classification is not a German Note, and an IELTS band is not a TOEFL score — institutions decide what they accept, and only the institution’s own published threshold governs an application. Everything below is recorded in the units the institution itself used.

Application fee

A fee charged to apply. Separate from tuition, and never counted as tuition.

Requirements marked as institution-wide were read from a page that covers more than this programme. They are what the institution publishes for applicants generally, and the programme’s own requirements may differ.

Everything above is a partial reading of one page. The official admissions page is the only complete statement of what this institution asks for: https://rekrutacja.pwr.edu.pl/en/admission/

Housing

U4S has not located an official accommodation page for Wrocław University of Science and Technology. That is a gap in U4S — it is not a statement that the institution has no housing, and it should not be read as one.

This is about housing the institution itself runs. It says nothing about private rentals near the campus, which are a different market with different contracts, different prices and different consequences if something goes wrong.

Official student support

Offices U4S has located on this institution’s own site. That an institution has a service means its website says so. It does not mean the service has capacity, answers quickly, can help with a particular problem, or that anybody found it useful. U4S measures none of those and publishes no rating of any service.

U4S links to an institution’s own page or contact form and publishes no email address. A list of institutional addresses is a list for anybody who wants one, and a contact form routes a student’s question better than a shared inbox.

If somebody is in immediate danger, use the local emergency number rather than any service listed here. U4S has not verified a single institution’s emergency contact, and a partly-verified one is worse than none.

Programmes

U4S has not read a programme catalogue for this institution. That is a gap in U4S, not a statement about what the institution offers — check its own website for the programmes it runs.
